With interest in alternative fuels growing, the American Petroleum Institute has added a special section to its Facts on Fuel web site highlighting the oil and natural gas industry's efforts to broaden our nation's energy portfolio. For example, oil and gas companies invested $98 billion from 2000 through 2005 on emerging energy technologies in the North American Market.

This site includes:

	Information on the industry's investment in technology to draw oil and natural gas from previously unusable petroleum sources.
	A look at the industry's role supporting alternative fuels, including fuel cells.
